Can you guess what's on my mind today?
Totally getting this for Cayla:
Unfortunately, a search for hers and hers mugs on etsy came up with ZERO. Mrs. and Mrs.? Pretty much ZILCH.
Someone needs to hit up a HUGE target market. Seriously.
xo,

Aww that's so cute. I can't believe there isn't more on the market that could be for hers and hers - someone definitely needs to get on that!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to start selling hers and hers stuff on etsy. There's a market for it!
ReplyDeleteI bet you could find some cute mugs and contact the shop owner and request some custom ones? That would be extra awesome! Seriously, though, that is so weird that NO ONE on Etsy is making stuff like that! This is 2012, crafty folk!
ReplyDeletei'm actually kind of surprised you could find hers & hers mugs, on etsy no less! on a somewhat related note, i was mug shopping on etsy for a friend last month, and i was looking for a mug with a sort funny if not dirty saying, and i was surprised at how little there was!
ReplyDeleteAw so sweet :)

That is surprising! That would be a huge market and I would think it would already be tapped on Etsy! Cool sweatshirt though :) Like Brittany said- you should totally try for a custom order somewhere, I'm sure they would be happy to do it and then they may start realizing that they should make them all the time!
ReplyDeleteI know it's not mugs, but I couldn't read your post and not make a plug for my friend Sara's etsy shop, Papersaurus Creative. She designs greeting cards, and has a specifically LGBT section. I thought of her "Mrs & Mrs" greeting cards when I read your post (http://www.etsy.com/listing/93660687/greeting-card-mrs-and-mrs-has-a-nice). I haven't hunted through etsy specifically for this kind of thing but I'll add my voice to the comments surprised that there aren't more products there for this market!
ReplyDeleteMy husband makes Mrs & Mrs signs or Mr & Mr signs, and could create any kind of custom signage like hers & hers as well! ohdier.com or etsy.com/shop/ohdierliving
ReplyDeleteNot exactly what you're talking about, but my favorite professor (and basically the coolest person on earth) co-edited a book on lesbian marriage called "Here Come the Brides!" that I've been dying to read.
