So, our very dear friends Sara and Tony are getting married in Lebanon this summer. C and I have been looking at tickets and vacation packages for a few months now. It's a huge decision, and we couldn't figure out exactly what we wanted to do, but we finally bought our tickets this week!
Tickets from Minneapolis to Lebanon are CRAZY expensive, but we were able to find a package that takes us to Istanbul and Greece for three nights each (with hotel included), and then we will fly to Lebanon for another week. With the package it was only a little more than JUST the price to Lebanon! We've also been saving our PENNIES so we almost have the trip paid for! So proud of us!!
So guess who's going to Istanbul, Greece, and Lebanon?
We are!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I get a HELL YEAH?!?!
(Could I use any more exclamation points?!?!)
I can't even believe it! I've never been out of the country, so I also got my first passport. (I look like a straight-up serial killer in my photo. Seriously.)
We still have to figure out what the hell we are going to do when we get there and what we want to see! But we have plenty of time to work out the details!
If you've ever been, I would love to hear your recommendations!
Maybe the Istanbul Grand Bizaar?
Hagia Sophia?
Here is one of Tony's photos from their last trip to Lebanon. Yeah...I can do this...
And, I mean, HELLO, Greece!
OK, I am offically excited!
Do you have any fun trips planned for the summer?
xoxo,
S.S.
Hell yeah!! That is awesome! I bet you guys will have an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteOur summer vacation plans are not nearly as exciting, a few days with family up at Itasca State Park. It'll be a fun getaway though!
I have two friends traveling to Africa this summer, so I am living through them! :)
You should hit up Maria from Little Tree Vintage! Her grandma is from Greece and she actually lived there for a bit. She could tell you what to see there!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! I'm so excited for you guys! Istanbul is high on my list of places I want to see, can't wait to hear about it! We spent 5 days in Greece the last time we went to Europe and it was so amazing. We spent a night in Athens and a few nights on an island- mostly just relaxing on the beach with cheap beers and yummy food :) What a great opportunity to visit Lebanon!
ReplyDeleteAlways best to look like a terrorist in your passport photo... you should look at mine from 10 years ago (taken in my Freshman year of college)... crazy.
ReplyDeleteHELL YEAH!!!
