I have some really, really, really exciting news to share. And you, my friends, are the first to know, besides Cayla and one other friend! I have been thinking about waiting to share the news until it's official, but you know what? I am so happy, OVERJOYED really, so I want to let you in, at the beginning. While this is just a tiny seed of possibility that's just been planted, it might sprout a whole lot of happiness for this mama.
So, this is the deal. I have been chatting with a super awesome lady who owns a vintage store about an hour away from where I live. Her store used to be predominately vintage, but she's moved toward vintage-inspired new items (think: Modcloth). Her stuff is SO freaking cute, and the space looks like you walked into Anthropologie--homey and bright and warm. We have been talking collaboration opportunities, and we met this week, and we've decided that I am going to help her fill up her shop with more vintage! What? Yep. I will have a PERMANENT (super beautiful) space to sell my vintage gems. Friends, this is a dream come true.
On the way to the meeting with her, I kept telling myself: "don't get too excited." "Don't get your hopes up." "Just see what happens."
But, it happened! I brought her a selection of samples from dresses to purses to housewares and she loved everything! She was almost as excited as me! I am really happy to be working with such a joyful and passionate spirit. So, that's my news. I am heading to her shop on Tuesday to help merchandise and figure out how we want this all to look. I will of course take lots of photos to show you! :) Eek! It's happening!
