A Very Thrifty Christmas Gift Swap

Good morning, loves! I can't believe it's Monday already!

Today, I am happy to share with you one of the funnest swaps I've ever done!
Sandra hosted this amazing, thrifty swap. (I wish I would have thought of this!)

It was super easy: sign up and she assigned you a partner. Done and done. All you had to do was buy your person a thrifted gift ($25, including shipping)! I was lucky enough to be given Chloe. I read her blog and think she is as cute as a button, so it was really fun getting to shop for her. And, the best part? She got me, too!

I received my *awesome* package this week, and no, I could not wait for Christmas! I had to open it all right away!

How cute is this?!

And it was filled with vintage necklaces, brooches, scarves...Chloe seriously went above and beyond! And, clearly, is a very good bargain hunter! (A girl after my own heart!)

I have worn this amazing owl necklace every day since I got it. I love it so much!

And, here's the cherry and sprinkles on this already amazing cupcake. She sent me a vintage dress, which is not only beautiful but fits perfectly!

Boots: Garage Sale
Tights: Banana
Dress: Gift from Chloe
Belt: Vintage

Thank you for everything, Chloe! And, thank you Sandra for hosting this amazing thrifty swap! I couldn't love my presents more! Big hugs to you, my dears!

Have a fab Monday everyone!

xoxo,

S.S.

  2. Holy cow. I can hardly buy dresses that fit my own body, let alone picking the perfect one for a blog pal. Chloe's a hero! And that owl necklace is awesome.

I can't wait to see what you sent her!!

  4. This sounds like the funnest swap ever- what a cool idea!! Chloe did an amazing job, that dress fits you so well and it's hard to believe she bought that for someone she's never met in person :) I've never seen an owl necklace like that- too cute! I'm sure her package from you was full of goodness too, you both were lucky to have each other!

  5. This is so awesome! And as per usual you are ridiculously cute :). I love doing these swaps, but I feel like I am always the one sending something sub-par. I have learned a lot about how wrapping can make even the most mundane objects seem so special, and I really like how Chloe had wrapped up your sweet little gifts!
I couldn't find any wrapping paper that wasn't christmas themed (I celebrate channukah), so I had to get creative with some brown craft paper this year, and everyone really loved how things were wrapped. It turned out to be a little gift in itself!

  6. Wow she did an amazing job! I absolutely love the dress and you're right, it looks like it was made for you! The owl necklace is also amazing! I am involved in a blogger secret santa swap too, they are so cute and exciting!

  7. Yay! I am so glad you like everything!
I was worried about the dress, because I didn't know your size.
So I looked through some of your photos and estimated.
I had a feeling you would dig the owl necklace :)
I got that Detroit postcard in Detroit right next to the DIA.
I thought you would think that was cool.

I am so excited to share what you got me!
I'll take photos in the next couple of days.

  10. Wow what a great bargain hunter indeed! You look just gorgeous in that bright and fun dress and the necklace is so cute too. What a great idea! We did a sim with Flock Together but not all thrifted items, can't wait to share though.
