A Fun Distraction

Yes, I know I am getting married in, oh you know, a month.

And yes, I am planning a vintage sale that is two weeks away.

But, I thought, for some reason, NOW would be the perfect time to redecorate our house. Silly, silly me.

But it's provided a lovely distraction from all of the stress and it's really starting to come together. My camera charger is nowhere to be found, so I can't show you the real thing yet, but here's a glimpse of what's happening. I'd love your ideas, input, suggestions!

The couch: This is from Macy's but I found one on Craig's List that is in mint condition for 1/3 the cost. It's amazing. It's a dark gray color - not as light as the photo.

The rug: Found this cutie at World Market.

And here is the vintage fabric I ordered to make throw pillows. I've never made pillows so this will be a fun project:

And this looks EXACTLY like my coffee table. Vintage and $10 on Craig's List. Lurv it!

Basically I am going with gray, cream, blues, and greens. I am really loving how it's coming together!

I promise I will take photos soon! I just ordered a new camera charger so it should be here any day!

I hope you are all having a great week!

xo,

  1. I love that fabric, lady!! Can't wait to see pics. And, um, HOW do you find such good stuff on Craigslist??! I've got some kind of block about it, apparently.

  2. I have a very similar coffee table in my house! And I also love it! I love the World Market rug you found too. And we must be on the same "insanity" wavelength given we took on some major home improvement projects (such as our window) mere months before the babe is born. Yep, we're crazy. Crazy gals unite!

  3. Ack, that couch! It's amazing. I might be a little overly in love with it because I don't currently have a couch (don't ask) but that's beside the point.

Can't wait for pics to see how it all comes together!

  4. I can't believe that coffee table was so cheap on Craig's List- I never find vintage bargains like that! Love the couch you went with, it has a vintage look but is probably more durable than the urban one. I feel like the busier we are the better we are at taking on more projects. Right now I'm in kind of a lazy stage ;) Can't wait to see pics!
