Beets and Tots and Love

It's Friday! And I can't wait for the weekend to commence!

And today a few snapshots into my week.

I am almost finished with my latest Louise Erdrich book, I think this is my third in a row. I seem to be on a beet of a kick:

I made Tater Tot Hot Dish. It was amazing. I am now officially Minnesotan. Now that C is working full time, it's my new job to start cooking dinner twice a week. Any easy recipes you have to share would be amazing. I can make bagels with cream cheese, a mean curry, and spaghetti. Annnnd that's about it. Girlfriend needs some help in the cooking department. I do have a lot of cute aprons and strawberry dishes, though! :) It's the accessories that count, right?

I also re-stocked over at The Vintage Gypsy with some great autumn vintage! Lots of tribal print, feathers, and yummy warm colors. Although, I'm definitely not ready for fall I am kind of getting excited to wear boots and tights again. Kind of.

I know, I know I am not collecting anymore deer figurines, but I really want this deer print top from my School of Vintage lovelies. WANT IT.

I have ALREADY started thinking about our wedding and putting together a binder of ideas. (Cayla doesn't know this yet.) DIY mason jars? Yes. This is happening.

ALSO, I want to wish a HUGE congratulations to my friend Nicole (that's her! what a doll!) who also just got engaged! I have a feeling we are going to have the cutest weddings ever, and I am glad I have a partner in (wedding planning) crime.

I am still feeling the love from Kristi and Patrick's wedding this weekend. It was pretty amazing.

I mean, GOD, could they be any effing cuter?!

And here's me and my gal.

Tonight, I am heading to Happy Hour after work for some 2 for 1 hard ciders and then heading home to tackle the GREAT RE-ORGANIZATION of 2012. It feels really good, friends. Really, really good.

Wishing you a fabulous weekend full of lots and lots of love!

  2. Oh my that cheesy tater tot dish looks amazing! One of my favorite fairly easy meals to make is quinoa with roasted or stir-fried veggies (and you can mix up the seasonings), I like it cold the next day for an easy lunch too :) I'm sure you and Nicole will have the cutest weddings ever! Love that last pic of you too- super stylin' couple! Glad the re-organization is going well, I through out about 10 things from my closet- not much but I feel good about it :)
